Debra Edgerton received her MFA degrees at both the San Francisco Art Institute and Vermont College of Fine Art in Painting and Interdisciplinary Art. She is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and a lifetime member of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Ms. Edgerton has received numerous grants and awards for her work that include the Elizabeth Graham Foundation Grant, the VanDenburg Grant, Contemporary Forum Artist Grant, and the Arizona Commission on the Arts Project and Career Advancement Grants. Her awards include two High Wind awards from AWS, Edgar A Whitney Memorial Award and Master Status through TWSA, and the Henry and Fujiko Fukuhara Memorial Award through NWS.
Edgerton has attended residency in Venice, Italy and Osaka, Japan and recently received a Research Associate position with the Museum of Northern Arizona. She is an Assistant Professor at Northern Arizona University.
