I was born (b.1972) and studied in France. I currently reside near Aveiro, Portugal.
I studied painting and drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto.
My taste for drawing and painting awoke when I was a child, becoming activities that followed me until then.
Self-taught until the age of 42, I developed artistic skills that spanned graphite, charcoal, oil, pastel, acrylic and finally watercolor works. Watercolor is now the technique that is more versatile and better response to creative needs.
Body and facial language, expressiveness of gesture and color are the elements that give more strength to my work.
My compositions are inspired by the strength of the characters of Lita Cabellut and Nathan Ford, the spirituality of Caspar David Friedrich, the sculptural constructions of Alberto Giacometti, the technique of Graham Dean, Eric Lacombe and Ali Cavanaugh.
