My name is Marco Novo, born in 1980, an IT engineer from Padua (Italy) who has always been passionate about figurative art. During my scientific studies I started painting with a famous group of writers from Padua, while as a self-taught I studied drawing and painting inspired by famous masters from Japan and China. After graduating, I attended various courses on drawing with pencils, acrylics and oil, but when I met watercolor I was struck by it. Even now I am amazed by observing what pigments can do when they encounters water, it is something surprising, which will never cease to fascinate me, especially in the rendering of figures, landscapes and interiors that have become my passion.
For me, watercolor represents the perfect escape from the rational and frenetic world of technology, which is why I experience it every day as a beautiful journey accompanied by brushes, paper and colors.
In 2019 with three talented watercolor artists I founded the Onda Creativa association in Padua for which I have been teaching intermediate watercolor courses since 2020.
