Lívia is a Brazilian watercolorist who unites her love for animals and watercolor in her work. She began her journey as an artist in 2017 and has since worked primarily with watercolors of wildlife and custom pet portraits, allocating part of the proceeds for animals in need and wildlife conservation.
“Art and animals have always been a part of my life. Just a few years ago, I had the chance to bring the two together for something bigger. I started selling my watercolors so I could help the animal cause.”
She participates in national and international exhibitions and has works spread across 10 countries. Lívia seeks to improve her technique by studying with watercolor masters.
A few years ago she discovered her passion for photographing wildlife, and uses her photographs as inspiration for several watercolors. Through her work she unites art and activism for animals, promotes awareness of abandoned dogs and cats and the need to respect and preserve wild animals.
“We often go unnoticed by the beauty of nature around us and all the animals we share the planet with. Since I´ve ‘learned’ to see it, I couldn't help but want to show everyone through my art. Bringing some of the diversity of animals to people's homes while raising awareness about vulnerable species is part of my mission.”
