Dr. Maya Bhalerao: Painting Life in Watercolors
From the heart of Maharashtra, India, Dr. Maya Bhalerao has carved a remarkable path—excelling in her professional career while embracing watercolor painting as her true passion. With the unwavering support of her family, she immersed herself in the medium, discovering joy in its fluidity, transparency and dreamlike quality.
Her canvases burst with energy: bold strokes, radiant colors and landscapes that capture the fleeting magic of nature. Each painting is more than an image—it unfolds and reflects her zest for life and belief in art as a bridge between people and places.
She has showcased her talent through many solo, group exhibitions and live demonstartions across the country, becoming a pioneer in introducing "watercolor art" to the medical fraternity. She is instrumental in organising Art Shows/exhibitions in various State and National Medical Conferences inspiring and motivating other medico collegues to persive Art. She has received state and national awards, Hall Of Fame Award by one of the Prestigious Conference in India.
Her artworks are featured in many medical magazines on front cover. Her artworks are showcased on flier, banner, certificates and LED screens of few comnferences giving her a great honour and recognition.
In 2024, her artistry reached a national stage when one of her works was presented to the Hon’ble President of India Smt Draupadi Murmu.
She is been honoured to give live demonstartion at Fabriano In Aquarello at Bologna Italy in 2025 where she gave 2 demos in just one and half hour.
Dr. Bhalerao’s vision extends beyond aesthetics. By donating the proceeds of her exhibitions to healthcare and welfare causes for underprevilaged people, she has given art a 'New Dimension'—transforming creativity into compassion and cultural exchange.
Her journey continues at her own gallery, “Rangabhramanti”, where art is not only displayed but celebrated as a POWERFUL TOOL for connection and change in the society.
