Silvana Pohl is a watercolor artist born in Joinville, state of Santa Catarina, in Southern Brazil. Being a self-taught artist, in 2000 she started taking watercolor classes with local artist Asta dos Reis. Then, prior to her retirement as City Government employee, she started her Art studies at the Joinville's Art School. Since then she continues her studies through online and presential courses with renowned watercolor artists.
Silvana is a member of AAPLAJ - Joinville's Artist's Association - and of ABA - Brazilian Watercolor Association - with which she exhibits her artworks collectively quite often. With ABA she has the opportunity to exhibit in the Sao Paulo, Sao Vicente and Santos area. In the Northeast cities she takes part in exhibitions with curator Luiz Neto. She is participating in the Japanese-Brazilian Exchange Exhibition since 2020.
Internationally, she has taken part in "FabrianoInAcquarello" (Italy) since 2018, in "UrbinoInAcquarello" (Italy) in 2020-21, in "VietnamInAcquarello" (Vietnam) in 2024.
She held two solo exhibitions at Shopping Garten, in Joinville, one in 2018 named "Oh, Heavens!" and the other in 2019 named "Femmina".
Since 2015 she shares her knowledge in the watercolor technique with small groups of students in her private studio.
