About me
Ms. Anuttama Chakraborty is currently employed in NIFT Delhi in the FD Department as a Professor of Fashion Design .She is an avid practitioner of Watercolors and her favourite subject of interest are flowers, architecture and still life .She has keen eyes towards details and loves to blend vibrant colours with striking aesthetics to create a visual experience. She strongly feels art is experiential and goes beyond the articulation and definition of words.
Her academic subject expertise ranges from Visualisation and Representational Techniques, Draping, Pattern Making, Fashion Illustrations and Trade Sketching, Draping techniques, CAD for fashion , children and denim wear design ,Fabric Manipulation etc. She has been teaching for the last 13 years and has constantly been in touch with the industry to facilitate the students for internships, placements and classroom projects. Apart from academics she has actively taken part in several uniform and design projects and product development initiatives for renowned corporates and government institutions.
