Why do I paint? "Because it's good to paint," said Péter Horváth, leader of the "Colour-Circle Association" Lovasberény at the opening of our exhibition. This has become my creed as well.
I’ve been creating something since I was young, but I didn’t get to the true path to painting until much later.
In the early 1980s, as a student at the Zurich Kunstschule, I learned the basics drawing and also became acquainted with various fine art techniques. These years also provided a good foundation to my latter painting.
I started painting soon after I retired. First I painted with oil and acrylic, also tried pastel chalk until I find my real love for watercolour.
I have been a member of the "Colour Circle" Association - Lovasberény since 2010, where I have participated at several group and individual exhibitions.
For last ten years I have been participating at the annual “Contemporary Art Group Exhibition” Sukoró and also featured three times, with my four judged images, at the National “Ajka Group Exhibition”. I had two solo exhibitions at my residence city Venice - Hungary, in 2012 and 2016.
I have successfully completed the foundation course of the IWS Hungary Watercolor Academy in 2018. Became a member of an inspiring and creative Hungarian Watercolor Community where I earned a lot, met a lot of talented people and participated at several significant group exhibitions including the Hungarian - Mexican Dual country exhibition in 2019.
Most recently through Fabriano Acquarello Hungarian Art Community one of my paintings was selected for exhibiting on FabrianoinAcquarello 2021 event
My further goal is to master and cultivate other branches of versatile watercolor technique.
