About me
I am a working artist who also has online art classes. I live in Finland but teach internationally in English.
My art is both layered and detailed, between abstract and figurative. I don't usually use references, but paint freely. I like to start with excitement and intuition and finish with focus and intention. Fantasy and nostalgia are my favorites and my paintings often combine spirituality with old-world luxury.
My first career was in technology, and natural science fascinates me. My home is filled with houseplants and has a big garden. I see plants as a result of scientific laws and algorithms, but also as individuals expressing poems, songs, or even operas. When poetic organic shapes meet intellectual and organized structures, magic happens. The inner world opens and light floods in. I want my paintings to be like photographs of these inner sensations.
