I am a self-taught watercolor artist and the author of two sketchbooks: “A stroll through Algiers” published in 2012 “Promenade à Constantine” in 2015
I was born in Algiers in 1993; I began to draw as a child and participated in many art contests, exhibitions and festivals. During my spare time, I ventured into a wide variety of paintings including glass painting, charcoal drawing, pastel and oil painting.
My leap into the travel sketchbook world started when I saw the artwork of the watercolor artist Chin Kon Yit while being on vacation with my family in Kuala Lumpur in 2008; I started to work exclusively with watercolors and decided to realize a series of paintings after taking some reference shots of my hometown.
In November 2014, I participated in the travel sketchbook festival “Rendez-vous du carnet de voyage” held in Clermont-Ferrand (France) and was nominated for the International Watercolor Sketchbook Award.
In 2018, I participated to the International Watercolor Exhibition "Les Aquarellades" held in Mons, Belgium
I alos took part to many group and duo exhibitions in Algiers, featuring mainly my watercolors
