Julieta Sanchez

I have always been interested in artistic expression with a passionate preference for literature and the visual arts. However, it was only after a lifetime dedicated to information management and teaching, that at 73, I began to explore the world of watercolor.  After retirement, I took my first workshop under the guidance of an excellent teacher, Beyla Medina, in Caracas, Venezuela, where I discovered a new way of expression in the beautiful flow of the water and the magic of pigments.  Here lies the maxim that says it is never too late to find a new expressive dimension. Watercolor now fills my life. I have developed a realistic approach in my work,  always seeking the simplicity of lines and the harmony of the composition.

I am currently participating in the National Watercolor online contest for the International Watercolor Society, United Arab Emirates.
