About me
Wiebke Kähler was born in 1983 and is now living in Trondheim Norway.
Creating by interpreting the impressions from her surroundings has always been an important part in Wiebke's life. Even as a child, she could loose herself for hours in the creative joy of art. Later Wiebke underwent training in an advertising agency, studied law and social work and began working as a social worker until she was diagnosed with cancer. But it was also here Wiebke rediscovered her passion for art.
Formulating inner thoughts, feelings and longings evoked by the majestic nature of Norway in an emotional and artistic way adds a unique feel to this artist`s works.
For her, it is not just about what the artist wants to express but what the images can make the viewer feel. Touching others is the core of Wiebke's work and forms the clue in the process from the idea all the way to the finished work. It is never just about the motifs in the paintings, but about what it can trigger in the viewer. A memory, a feeling, a longing, a dream…. Wiebke wants to build emotional bridges, from the artist's intentions, to the painting, to the viewer and back....
