About me

I was born iin 1957. Handicraft has always been present in our family, especially through my mother and grandmother and they also instilled in us a desire for creation. However, I never managed to get good marks from drawing in school, so I booked myself in such a way that I can't draw or paint.

Nevertheless, I have always been attracted to watercolor painting, with its subtle colors, blurred, pervasive effects, and I have run into the subject many times in a self-taught way. Finally, in the fall of 2013, in a Facebook group for watercolor loving amateurs fate brought me together with an Alaskan painter, Tom Nixon, who selflessly offered to introduce our enthusiastic little group to the basics of watercolor painting. For three months, starting from the beginning, we took the basic techniques step by step. Tom analyzed each homework in detail, his energy and helpfulness were amazing.

Well, that's how it started. Our small group survived later, we showed each other our creations, analyzed each other’s images, learned from our own and others’ mistakes, and a lot of practice brought with its development as well.

In 2018, I enrolled in the foundation course organized by Sándor Szikszai of the IWS Hungary Watercolor Academy, where we unleashed our talent under the wings of ErnÅ‘ Nagy.

Since then, I paint regularly together with a small painting community. The support, encouragement, and sharp-eyed insights of my peers help me to continually develop and find the time and opportunity to create among the “obligatory tasks” of life.

In recent years, I have participated in several art workshops, organized by differnt watercolorist. Painting makes my happy. And sometimes I have

nd sometimes I have the opportunity to exhibit my pictures, in solo or group exhibitions.
