Galyna Aguf

Hello, my name is Galyna Aguf.

I was born in Ukraine and educated as a visual artist and architect.
In 1982 I graduated at the Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kiev cum laude.
For twenty-three years I worked as a visual artist and teacher
in drawing and painting in Ukraine.

In 2011 I moved to the Netherlands where I live and work now.
Most of the time I’m teaching adults at my drawing studio Assen.
Since 2017 I am an executive member of IWS Holland (International Watercolor Society).

I like teaching according to the Classical Academic Method due to my education
at the Academy in Kiev. So I pay a lot of attention to the basic techniques of art.
In my lessons I provide my students with the fixed laws and rules of drawing and painting,
far more than what is generally provided in the Netherlands.
I can teach in a varied and accessible way, so the lesson will be interesting,
educational and a lot of fun at the same time. My students appreciate this very much.
Every year we organize some workshops and plain-air’s during vacation-time.
With this expertise and tricks of the trade anyone can reach a certain level of drawing
and painting. This way it is much easier to achieve a spatial painting at ease
and it also rises your own artistic talent and skills to a higher level.
In my spare time I like to draw and paint from nature, live ‘as it is’, architecture,
landscapes and boats, no photographs taken.&
