About me

I’m Arunas Vilkevicius, a self-taught artist from Vilnius, Lithuania, with a passion for both watercolor painting and furniture art. My journey into the art world is shaped by a lifelong curiosity, intuition, and a drive to create beauty that resonates with the soul.

For over 30 years, I’ve poured my creativity into designing and producing unique, bespoke furniture and décor, with a particular love for the flowing, nature-inspired forms of Art Nouveau. This style’s abundant curves, organic motifs, and inherent elegance have deeply influenced my artistic vision.

Although I have always dabbled in painting, it wasn’t until 2016 that watercolor art truly captivated me. At first, this medium felt daunting—unpredictable and demanding—but it also promised boundless opportunities for expression. Overcoming my initial hesitation, I embraced the challenge, and watercolors soon became as vital to me as air.

My artwork has garnered international acclaim, earning recognition in prestigious realism art competitions such as the ARC Salon, Almenara Art Prize, and ModPortrait, and has been exhibited at the MEAM Museum in Barcelona as well as galleries across the UK, Australia, Spain, Italy, Finland, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, and numerous virtual venues.

These honours fuel my desire to continue exploring the interplay of light, emotion, and the intricate details that make watercolor so mesmerizing.

My art reflects an unending gratitude for the beauty of life. Each brushstroke is a step on a path of discovery—a journey where perfection doesn’t exist, and the joy lies in self-expression.

Through my art, I strive to offer moments of stillness, wonder, and quiet connection — a space where emotion can be felt without words.
