About me
Veronica van Heerden is a recently retired IT professional who learnt watercolour painting under Penny Steynor, in Cape Town, South Africa.
She also dabbles in acrylics, but loves the delicate beauty and luminosity of watercolour, which is a permanent medium using pigment and water on 100% cotton.
She would love to renew public interest in this gentle medium which gets easily overshadowed by the bold and colourful art statements made by larger oils and acrylics.
