Artistic Statement

Ariana Bove is a visual artist whose practice centers on watercolor as a primary medium, drawn by its ability to capture light, transparency, and subtle atmospheric transitions. Her work explores landscape and nature as emotional spaces, where light becomes not only a visual element but a narrative force.

Watercolor has become the medium that most strongly resonates with her current artistic pursuit, as it allows for an organic dialogue between water, pigment, and paper. Through layered washes, warm tonal ranges, and controlled spontaneity, she seeks to convey moments of stillness, freedom, and quiet transformation.

Artistic Background and Relevant Experience

Ariana Bove holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts with a specialization in Graphic Design from Universidad Arturo Michelena, Venezuela. Her multidisciplinary background includes illustration, photography, and design, disciplines that continue to inform her compositional approach and attention to detail.

She has participated in local art fairs and multiple collective exhibitions, both in physical spaces and online galleries, including thematic open calls. Alongside her exhibition practice, she develops independent artistic projects such as illustrated coloring books, extending her visual language into accessible formats while maintaining a strong personal identity.

Her work is developed through continuous practice and research, with a focus on mastering watercolor techniques and understanding the expressive potential of light, texture, and surface. She frequently works on Fabriano paper, valuing its response to water and pigment as an essential part of her process.
