My name is Silvio Mucci and I was born in Rome on July 6, 1995. I grew up in an artistic environment, and I became passionate about painting thanks to my grandfather, who was in contact with many artists, and my father, owner of a workshop of artisanal frames. To follow this inspiration I enrolled in the art high school in Rome “A. Caravillani” with a focus on figurative art, and I graduated in 2014. In the following years I continued my journey as a self-taught artist, immersing myself entirely in the watercolor technique, in which I experimented extensively by blending it with other techniques and tools: from ink to ink, to the “blow painting” technique. At the basis of my artistic production is the desire to tell a moment, an emotion, or a place. Often the vehicle that best assists me in this process is the human face, due to the expressive richness that distinguishes it. Sometimes the two images merge and become one, creating a dreamlike atmosphere reminiscent of Surrealism. I participated in some group exhibitions between 2018 and 2019.
