I am a painter that lives and works at La Casa Taller, an alternative space for creation, located by the sea, which I manage together with my partner, Daniel Alonso, since 2009 in A Guarda, Galicia, Spain.
From childhood, I always knew that my true passion was creating. After completing my art-focused high school studies at the Burgos School of Arts, I decided to study Fine Arts, specializing in painting at the University of Pontevedra. I have also attended several courses on the theory and practice of Art History and Painting, primarily in Madrid and Vigo. My master is korean painter Jung Hunsung.
My painting is focused in human figure and portraitism. I want to cacht the esence of people so the gaze is very iimportant to me. Also hair and movement is something I want to enphasize.
I regularly plan Master classes with the best national and international artists to bring quality training to this corner of the world and learn the latest techniques to develop my personal artwork. I also organise plein air venues, painting retreats, and landscape painting from life, with a focus on watercolor. My workshops cover a wide range of subjects, including portraiture, seascapes, still lifes, and botanical studies. I work with universities, public and private organizations, and city councils, and I manage the programming for La Casa Taller.
