About me
The work of Basi Mateo stands out for its chromatic richness. Light is always present, used as a unifying element between color and matter—three fundamental pillars through which she presents a calm and contemplative form of painting. Her work has been exhibited in the most important cities across Europe and she has also participated in numerous international exhibitions, notably in Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, and Marrakech.
Her artworks have illustrated the Anthologies of Federico García Lorca and Ángela Figuera Aymerich in the Library of Literary Figures, published by the Library of the Great Nations, as well as various poetry collections and novel covers.
