Kairi Orgusaar was a painter before she became a glass artist, and keeps working in these parallel modes of expression. Her art often expresses grand, pure emotions, cathartic states of mind.

She is inspired by the environment - the nature, landscapes of differing characteristics, spaces and their defining traits. She is interested in how the environment affects humans and vice versa.

Many of her works have had their impulses in her immediate surroundings, or the wider Nordic milieu - dealing with its essence through an interplay of light, structures, shapes and cultural context.

Some of the more poetic, timeless works were born of personal experience or perceptions. She is interested in the human being, his journey through life, connectedness and freedom, his many layers of character.

On the technical side, she like to experiment, while attempting to maximize the compatibility of idea and form. She is motivated to take risks, make discoveries, and swap techniques often.
