Painting is my meditation, my refuge. It exists in a timeless state - an ego-free zone where I feel whole, as if life actually makes sense.
Describing painting is just as impossible as describing a classical symphony verbally.
I like the idea of conveying a subjective, emotional response to the natural world.
Painting should go deeper than copying nature as it is. It should be a personal response and characterization of what we see and what is in harmony with us.
I try to understand a scene, but not intellectually. I would like to find the interpretation of the thing underneath.
