My name is Lyn Evans and I live in the English Lake District.

Here, surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers I have all the inspiration I desire. The colours change vividly throughout the seasons to feed my work.

I find I am pushing more and becoming more abstract, finding colours and shapes that I had not previously seen and using the magical properties of watercolour to portray them.

This painting is inspired by the mountain I see every day, Blencathra.
