Fausto Sutera

Nickname: Fausto Sutera
Country: Italy - Role: Artist

Born in Palermo on May 30, 1977, from an early age he showed outstanding artistic skills by winning some competitions in the early 90s. In 1996 he graduated from the Institute for surveyors and enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Palermo, where he graduated with honors in 2007. Since 1998 he has collaborated with some internationally renowned architectural firms in Rome, Palermo and Milan. In 1999 he won the drawing competition "A sketch for Calatafimi" and in 2007 he ranks second in the architecture competition "BAU 2007 Archi - Student Award", in the Brick category and is also a finalist in the Free style category. In 2008 and 2009 he deals with literature, through poetry, and some of his writings are published by Montedit. In 2010 the Leonida publishing house published his first book "Life in Aphorisms". Since 2013 he has dedicated himself with passion to the spirit and essence of painting, using the transparency, lightness and mixing of watercolor colors to reinterpret the landscape. The latter is painted to be a dream, a fleeting and ephemeral vision of reality. Watercolor is a very difficult and inimitable pictorial technique, in which water, which creates wonderful effects, is the artist's friend / enemy. Precisely this natural element seems to want to lighten or almost make the subject blurred, ethereal, leaving a stratification of the experience. In addition, he dedicates himself to the design of easels for painting, color palettes and teaching watercolor.
