Clare Arbuthnott, an artist based in Edinburgh who focuses on her native landscape and also creates colourful floral works.  

She was brought up in rural North East Scotland, later studying at the Leith School of Art and in Cumbria.  Clare is a recently elected member of The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and won the Scottish Arts Club Award in 2017.

Her landscape paintings try to capture something of the changeable nature of the Scottish climate with lively brushstrokes and rich colour.  Her floral still life's are approached with a similar vigour and enthusiasm.
