Though Yamini is an Electronics and Communication engineer, she chose to follow her passion for art. She started her journey with Abudhabi cultural society and then Dubai International art centre where she has exhibited too. She i a member of International watercolor society, UAE . She works in Oil, watercolor and pastels and her style is mostly expressive realism. 

   She was awarded the third prize in the national watercolor competition held by IWS UAE in 2016 and the second prize in national watercolor competition held in India on the theme 'India lockdown' in 2020. 

    She has exhibited her works in Hungary, Indonesia, Vietnam and Italy. She believes art should touch people from all walks of life . Her paintings are with collectors in australia, USA, Italy,UAE and India .
