Ester Elisa Monti

Nickname:
Country: Italy - Role: Artist

After the school of art in Genoa, Italy, Elisa Monti graduated in architecture and has been working as an architect since 1994, integrating her architectural projects with her skills in illustration: she is often inspired by her international projects to broaden her knowledge, analysing and comparing different cultures and styles.

She has taught Architectural design at Genoa University, and is now a tutor at the Klee Barabino Art School in Genoa; she often volunteers as art teacher in primary schools workshops and art labs.

She loves sketching during her travels, since her teens she's been carrying along a travel sketchbook. She rediscovered watercolor technique in 2018, ever since she never stopped to get deeper in this medium.

Her work was presented on USK Talks on February 28, 2021, and an article about her appeared on Drawing Attention in September 2021. She is one of the illustrators selected by T-ink 2021, 2022 editions, that publishes a selection of her works.
