Born in San Daniele del Friuli and living in Udine, Germana Snaidero worked as a teacher at the primary school and tutor and at the Primary Education Science Degree course at the University of Udine; she graduated with 110 cum laude (best valutation possible) in Educational Sciences, with a thesis in aesthetics, at the University of Trieste. She shared her passion for the visual arts with her pupils and with the adults, who attend her watercolor and art history courses at the Università della LiberEtà in Udine. She has been painting in watercolor continuously since the 1980s. She have exhibited her works in solo exhibitions in Udine, Trieste, Cividale del Friuli, Gemona and Conegliano, and in international art fairs in Genoa, Parma and Pordenone. She has been a finalist in several international competitions including: Exposition Internationale d'Aquarelle in Albi (France); IWS of Hong Kong; IWS Castra in Slovenia, International Watercolor Contest and “Art before the work” at the Esdé gallery in Cagliari; IWS Biennial in Poland; IWS of Tirana (Albania); in the international contests of: Fabriano in Acquarello, Urbino and Monza in Acquarello; SaturArte of the Satura Gallery in Genoa. In 2021: her works were exhibited in Venice at the S. Eufemia Gallery; she was selected in France for Uckange's and Yrieix la Perche's Salon de l'Aquarelle; she received the honorable mention at the Tiepolo d'Oro Award in Udine and the The Pursuit of Excellence award from the IWM in England. L’art de l’aquarelleon issue 49 of 2021 dedicated a two-page article to her entitled "Germana Snaidero - Moments de sérénité"; the same article was published in The Art of Watercolor n.42. She was awarded the First Prize for artistic drawing, and the Prize for Imagination, at the Franz Kafka Italy 2022 Prize.
