EUGENIA ORTIGOZA

 

Paraguayan visual artist, graduated from the Instituto Superior de Bellas Artes - Class 96.

She has been working as a visual artist for 28 years, she also teaches drawing and painting classes and seminars in art workshops.

Her paintings are characterized by a realistic expression, the motifs are still lifes, fruits, portraits, native themes, children and universes (Astro painting).

His favorite techniques are oil, chalk pastel and watercolor.

She made a research about native art, thus realizing one of her desires, to show the native Paraguayan cultural richness and to value and promote this wonderful world of expressions. All this experience made the human figure and native elements to be themes of greater interest.

He launched a book of poems called "Sentimientos del alma" where several of his writings are illustrated by his paintings in 2011, several of them dedicated to different ethnic groups of his country.

On behalf of the Presidency of the Republic of Paraguay and the Office of the First Lady of the Nation and the Tesape'a Paraguay Association, she received recognition for her cultural contribution to the Republic of Paraguay in 2013.

She is founder and director of the Neo-Realistas.py Group of which she is part, formed by five contemporary artists since 2014, constantly participating in national and international group exhibitions.

She held several group and solo exhibitions in Paraguay and collective exhibitions in Argentina, Belgium, USA, France and Peru. His works are in private collections in several countries in America and Europe.
