Until I discovered watercolor painting for myself in 2015, it was a long, creative journey on a rather winding road. I don't want to miss any of the different projects I've worked on for the past 35 years. I have no regrets - and even if the projects could not have been more different over the years, all of these experiences flow into my painting today. It was in 2016 that I dared to paint a large format watercolor on high quality watercolor paper for the first time. A lot has changed for me since then and I've spent almost every free minute with painting. After the first invitations to joint exhibitions, my first participation in the world-famous FabrianoInAcquarello festival followed in 2018 with a painting demonstration in front of a specialist audience. Since then I've been to several other festivals and try to convey my enthusiasm for modern watercolor painting in workshops, books and videos.

Meanwhile I became country-head Germany for FabrianoInAcquarello and beside the great honour it is a great pleasure to be part of the family and to contribute as much as possible to this fabulous community. In 2022, returning inspired from FabrianoInAcquarello I started a new project: a curated group called #DoYouSpeakWatercolor ? www.facebook.com/groups/666201424681217 (copy link and paste in your browser) Not just another Facebook watercolor-group but an attempt to put the focus on the individual watercolor artist, their work and their thoughts. This is done by presenting each artist by an individual portfolio (called "showcase" in the group) and as much information as possible (depending on each artist). And of course all this is done for the love of watercolor and it´s acceptance in the fine-art worl
