Roy Henry Brooks

Roy was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1942. From an early age he loved to draw and paint and later served an apprenticeship as a Commercial Artist. He ran his own design studio for 17 years in Johannesburg and then decided to fully devote his time to fine art and sculpture. For the past 35 years, he has painted commissions, held exhibitions, taught fine art and exhibited at many local and overseas exhibitions amongst which were The Watercolor Society at Norscott Manor in Johannesburg, Th International Watermedia Festival in the Cape (IWSSA) and he is a member of WASA

He has received many awards and his work can be found in private, corporate and public collections in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, USA, New Zealand, Egypt, Palace of the Lost City, Ekurhuleni Library and throughout South Africa.
