The work of Pavlos Michailidis appears to be conversing
with music, the subtlety and the waves emanating from the
synthetic colours of sounds which he himself creates or
becomes inspired from in the worlds of classical music or
contemporary and jazz music. His gestures, the vortices, the
dispersion of colour, mainly in black and white, the use of
watercolours and black India ink, the writing symbols in his
paintings, adding meaning to the visuals of the themes that
he deals with, all lead to stages of an atmospheric depiction
of spaces mainly from the urban framework as well as from
the natural environment.
