Ewald Hinteregger is an Austrian painter living in the center of the Alps and paints since several decades intially with oil and acrylics. Meanwhile, he practices mainly the art of watercolor due to the fact that it is the basic technique every painter should be familiar with and because it is the world´s oldest and most deeply rooted one. Ewald Hinteegger had several solo exhibitions and exhibition participations and attended watercolor meetings all over the world, e.g. in India, Vietnam, Myanmar and in several European countries.
Since 2010 he is a leading representative of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) in Austria and since 2021 leader of the Austrian FabrianoInAquarello team.
Since several years he organizes a monthly watercolor painting jour fixe with the famous painter Bernhard Vogel in Salzburg, Austria.
